28th Nov. Day 3 Grand Cayman

Good morning all so today is our first full day at a port of call and today that is Grand Cayman, we arrived early this morning whilst we were all asleep and got the message we could get off the ship quite early, so we decided to let the mad exodus happen and then we would get off later which we did after breakfast, not all of us ate in the main restaurant today and we were all ready to leave by about 10am, We had learnt that due to some bad weather this morning we could not dock at Georgetown and we now at Spotts Bay which would mean a minibus into town, but first we had to get off the ship which was dealt with by local Tender boats. We got into our boat and was on the mainland in no time boarding a minibus with Captain D ready for our short trip into Georgetown, We got there and had a little walk around and decided to go into the Hard Rock Cafe for a few drinks and maybe a snack, we all ordered some cocktails and settled in for a few hours, during this time Lorna had realised that some friends of ours were on the NCL Epic ship, and were also in town and and with a bit of social networking we were able to work out they were just down the road, so we agreed to meet in the Harley Davidson store to catch up, its was great to see Gloria and Tim again and after a brief catch up and some selfies we all headed back to our ships. The weather today had been overcast with a threat of rain which actually happened as soon as were got back on board. So not a great day weather wise but nice to get off the ship, as we were back a little earlier than expected we had a few drinks and a snack in the Ocean View and then all of us headed back to our rooms for a little rest before we met up at 7pm to have a pre diner drink and then into the main restaurant, this time we now have our dedicated round table and tonight it was perfect as we had decided before we came on the ship we were going to play the Dice Game and tonight was the night after our meal. It was a great laugh as usual and most of us ended up with something only Paul left empty handed. So after this, we went for a last drink and a little dance to the last songs from the Dj playing at the Martini bar and then our latest night back to bed at around midnight, I guess the jet lag is behind us now.
